Our northern lights base is located in the midst of a forest with an excellent view exposing the northern skies. While enjoying the northern lights, we sit by a fire and enjoy our time with a warm drink and grill the traditional Finnish sausages. Our professional guide Ilpo, knows Ranua's regions and nature very well and makes sure you will enjoy the trip to the utmost.
Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, and 100% visibility is not always guaranteed. However, this trip is always a wonderful experience, enjoying the mystical nature of northern Finland. Proper Lappish exotica! The trip is available for booking from November to mid-April.

Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation (within 10 km of the center of Ranua)
Ranua is only an hour's drive from Rovaniemi and is also easily reached by bus.

Please take note of the weather conditions, especially when joining with children. Children must have particularly warm clothing. Warm winter clothing is available for rent for 20 € per person, we will help with all the arrangements.
Before each tour, our guide will examine the weather maps. If the weather is cloudy in Ranua yet visibility is better a little further away from Ranua, we'll go further! We always discuss the situation together with the participants. The price of a private small group tour is a 3-hour program. An additional hour is €100/hour (payment can be made during the trip if you choose a longer excursion).
